Book Signing | Looking Good to Feel Good

Thank you to those who showed up for the first book signing of "Looking Good to Feel Good" on Friday. It was a great event. For those who may not be aware of what this book is about or how it came about. Dr. Sandra Bouzaglou of The Center for Plastic Surgery saw a need to help inform women facing breast cancer that there is life after breast cancer and that is breast reconstruction. For many of of us women facing breast cancer and all that comes with it, breast reconstruction is about making us whole again. A woman's appearance is so important to one's well being that breast reconstruction truly feels like a life-saver. "Looking Good to Feel Good" shares the experience of 13 brave women/patients of Dr. Bouzaglou. Scott photographed each of these women at their home giving their stories a personal touch.

I encourage anyone facing breast cancer or you may know someone recently diagnosed to purchase this book. There are so many decision to make when first diagnosed, some many questions needing an answer. Just think of it as a one-stop answer book. - Valorie Walz

Madison is not only beautiful, she is quite a talented young lady. She plays volleyball for Scott County High School and she is an amazing singer. What a voice!

Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event

The last weekend in April is the Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event that is attend by thousands from around the world. Scott and I make our annual trek to the Kentucky Horse Park located right here in Lexington for one of the finest equestrian events. My favorite event is the Cross-Country event.

This rider seemed relieved that he made the jump.

This was a terrible mishap that happened in front of us. The rider's mount caught it's hoof on the jump and caused a fall. Both horse and rider were fine but this did disqualify them from the rest of the event.

This is my favorite picture. This was a very difficult jump and this rider and horse were amazing.

I caught Scott taking pictures of me instead of the event.

Going through all of the photographs from the weekend has me already looking forward to next year's event. I hope to see you there. Valorie

Let the new postings begin!

During the fall and the days leading up to Christmas we have the opportunity to photograph many families, children, seniors and weddings that we have time for little else. Scott and I love this time of year because we love meeting new people, it's like making new friends, and we get to catch-up with customers we haven't seen in a while. We are truly blessed to have a job that we get to be a part of so many families lives and to be fortunate to watch their children grow-up, photograph them through the years and then see them get married. So many of our clients are like our extended family. We are at our busiet during this time but it's like having a family reunion every week leading up to Christmas. Now this is a job you can love!
