Autumn brings so many memories that come flooding back to me especially as a child. I grew up in the Southwest Virginia surrounded by the Appalachian Mountains. My siblings and I would spend afternoons raking together huge mounds of leaves to play in and I can’t help but smile when I see the Fiscus family photographs. They are surrounded by the beautiful fall leaves with Kentucky at it’s best. Valorie
Sharing our passion with the world. Our love of photography is endless. Please enjoy the pictures we post and the sentiment behind them. Many blessings, Scott and Valorie Walz
What a wonderful beautiful Kentucky fall day for this portrait sitting.
Scott has been photographing this young man since he was a baby. He is growing up so fast.
It's always exciting when horses come to the fence for a little bit of love.
We have known this family for many years. We were fortunate enough to have Dana work here in the studio. You may remember seeing her at wedding with Scott.
Michael, being such a good husband, gave Dana a gift certificate from Studio Walz for her birthday. Knowing how she loves pictures, this was the perfect birthday gift.
Here is a wonderful family sitting. I decided to include an email Scott received from our client soon after viewing her pictures taken on that beautiful Kentucky day. "Like? Doesn't even come close!!! I love them!!! I am beyond impressed and they turned out better than I could have ever thought. I showed my mom last night and she was just as excited as me. You did an AMAZING job!! You were wonderful with the kids and brought out their natural side which is what I have been trying to get photographers to do for years. You are the only photographer that shows who we really are in a picture. I am so thankful for your work. You will definitely be seeing us again :)" Thank you for the kind words. Scott & Valorie
We first met Gesela when she came to the studio for a business portrait. We immediately hit it off. You know how some people have a magnetic personality and you just click with them. Well that's Gesela. You just can't help but like her.
Then one thing led to another and she wanted us to photograph her family. Of course we were happy to. Scott traveled to her home to do a more personal family portrait sitting.
What a beautiful family she is blessed to have. Scott and Valorie
It's always an honor when we have the opportunity to photograph someone from our Second Presbyterian Church family. I have spoken before how our church family is special to us and these boys are very much a part of that.
As you can see both young men have achieved Eagle Scout through years of hard work and dedication. What an accomplishment! Valorie
It's that time of year when the spring flowers are blooming and old man winter is finally gone. Peonies are beginning to bloom at Ashland and we want to remind you to make your appointment soon. Times available are limited.
Cute, sweet, precious, funny...are all words describing this little one. Oh, I can't forget to say active, as she kept us all on our toes during this family portrait sitting. I love taking photographs of children but especially of little Emry. You see, I'm am her great uncle Scott and am very proud to say that.
This picture is by far my favorite and her parents too. I must tell you a cute little story behind it and I know that your going to get a kick out it. There was nothing that I or her parents were doing to get such a sweet and precious look from her....it was a handful of rocks. Yes, I said rocks. Who would have guessed it would create such an endearing look. My best, Scott
This couple may look familiar because a few of the their wedding pictures are on the Studio Walz blog intro. They had the most beautiful wedding a few years ago in the Dominican Republic and they were wonderful enough to ask us to be their wedding photographers. What an opportunity to travel with them to celebrate such an important time in their lives. Now, a few years later they have asked us again to photograph them but now with their precious baby boy. And precious he was on this fall day.
What an opportunity for this little tike to be photographed with his grandmother. This will be a picture that he and his grandmother will cherish forever.
Scott got some great
of them in the leaves. "E" had a great time playing with his parents.
I could only think of one thing as I watched this new family be photographed. Love. With much love, Valorie
