Sharing our passion with the world. Our love of photography is endless. Please enjoy the pictures we post and the sentiment behind them. Many blessings, Scott and Valorie Walz

Gallery Hop | Photographer Scott Walz

All are invited to the Gallery Hop on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Milward Funeral Directors, 159 N. Broadway, Lexington KY 40507. Located next to the Opera House.

Featuring Scott Walz!

Scott will be showcasing photographs taken during his medical/dental mission trips to Honduras. He has found a true passion with helping the Honduran’s and documenting the people of this impoverished country. Scott along with his fellow mission volunteers travel for hours over dirt roads to reach the site where a make-shift medical clinic will stand to perform much medical care to all those who are in need.

Scott is thankful to his church’s pastor, Dan Hans, of Second Presbyterian Church for bringing this mission into his life.

Scott is also thankful to Milward Funeral Directors for hosting him and this wonderful event and allowing him the opportunity to share his art with so many people.

Art in Unlikely Places | A Beautiful Life Through the Eyes of a Child | lexington art league

What a lovely event last evening at the Lexington Art League to unveil the collaborative artwork and book: A Beautiful Life Through the Eyes of a Child.

In January the Art in Unlikely Places (AiUP) team joined up with Greenhouse 17 and The Kidz Club with music therapy and art healing to create beautiful collection of drawings. These drawings have been brought together to create yet more pieces of art. Four quilts were created by the work of Scott Walz and Arturo Sandoval. Scott photographing all of the children’s drawing and compiling them and Arturo taking the printed compilations and making four unique quilts.

It was exciting to see the AiUP team, an extremely talented group of students that worked hard from concept to fruition, celebrate with the community on a wonderful achievement.

The pictures show the group that gathered for the celebration and also Scott and Arturo being recognized for their part in “A Beautiful Life Through the Eyes of a Child”. Also, there was a book signing for those that purchased books by Scott and Arturo.

Special musical guest performance by the Accoustikats was appreciated by all. The Accoustikats wrote and sang a song created just for this event. It was truly amazing and for an encore they sang “My Old Kentucky Home” which one can never tire of hearing. Thank you Accoustikats!

Happenings! | studio walz | photography with feeling!

Shew! It's been a crazy couple of months here and I can finally announce that the new Studio Walz website is finally complete (almost) and up on the world wide web for everyone to see.

So much thought and design goes into creating a new website. Scott and I had so many ideas that we bounced around for the new site but our main objective was to keep it simple and easy to navigate. As we all have been to those websites, you know what I'm talking about, those you feel lost after the first click. Well, the new Studio Walz website was not going to that kind of site.

We also wanted to add more information to help our customers quickly find what they are looking for. Our new FAQ page answers so many questions from hours of operation to what should my son or daughter wear for their high school senior pictures.

Another new page is the Raves. We feel so blessed to have the wonderful customers that we do I thought it only be fair for you to see what others are saying. I recently started saving the cards and emails so that we can share them with you. Now, we have the opportunity to read them again and again as a nice reminder of our most precious clients.

You will find too that we have placed more information about the types of work that we do. New to the website is our Business 2 Business section. We have a strong business clientele but it has mostly been by word of mouth. Which is the best compliment to us but this new section will let more people know that Studio Walz can meet all of your photography business needs. I will keep adding more samples as I have time to scour our archives but for now I have placed a variety of images that cover many areas.

So, go ahead and feel free to poke around our site.

Customer Rave!

I want to share with you pictures from a wonderful customer of ours and her sweet note that she sent to us after Christmas. Dear Scott & Valorie, Just wanted to show you how I displayed your work over the holidays! We love these pictures but so does everyone who sees them... They always want to know who did them and I'm proud to say friends in Lexington. I tell them to look for you on Facebook! Cooper will be next, although times awastin' for Ike and I to get in there! Hope you both are doing well! Betty N.
