Marylee and Nathan | lexington ky engagement sitting

We are looking forward to Nathan and Marylee's Big Day. The countdown has begun!

Marylee and Nathan chose to have their engagement pictures taken this spring at several locations around Lexington including Ashland, The Henry Clay Estate.

We have known Marylee and her family for many years and are happy to be a part of their special family occasions.

Some of you may remember Marylee as our summer intern last year. She assisted Scott with portrait sittings and weddings and was great help in the studio.

It's difficult to know where to start when speaking about this couple. I have known Emily since her and her brother were children at Second Presbyterian Church. Yes, Emily and her family are a part of our church family that we are so close to. Emily and Will chose to have a small wedding only inviting their closest family and friends at Ravens Run Nature Sanctuary. I love this kind of wedding. Why do you ask? Because you feel the love and support of everyone there. This kind of wedding are always moving and emotional.

Because of the closeness of this group they had a blast from start to finish. I just had to show you some of their fun shots. Of course living in the Big Blue Nation came through in their photos. I love it!

Remember when I said they are huge fans of the University of Kentucky? Emily and Will's wedding party decorated their car with "GO CARDS" and "We Love Pitino". Luckily they took this with good humor.

What a lovely couple. It's a short but accurate statement about this couple. They are not residents of our beautiful city of Lexington but they chose to come here for their special event. The wedding was held at Maxwell Street Presbyterian Church with reception following at the Historic Round Barn on the grounds of the Red Mile Race Track.

Lindsey | wedding photography lexington ky

You don't want to miss these great bridal photographs of Lindsey. You've seen her before, her engagement photos are on our blog and the Studio Walz website. She chose an historic site in Lexington to have her portraits taken. Stayed tuned for her wedding pictures later this summer.

Emily & Will | wedding photography lexington ky

Scott and I are excited about this upcoming wedding. We have watched Emily grow up before our eyes and become a stunning young woman and Will is soooooo fortunate to be marrying. A beautiful outdoor wedding is planned.

Emily and Will chose the Raven Run Nature Sanctuary for their engagement photographs. We took a trail that meandered out to the Kentucky River and took pictures along the way. This backdrop is perfect for Emily and Will, both are avid nature buffs.

Laura & John | ryland heights wedding photography

This wedding says so much to Scott and myself about the importance of family. Laura's family has been one our long standing customers that embodies the true meaning of love and support of family. We have known them for many years that we feel that they our extension of our very own family.

Their wedding was held at the Ryland Lakes Country Club located in Ryland Heights, Kentucky.

Caroline & Ben | lexington ky wedding photography

I'm pleased to be showing you some of Caroline and Ben's wedding pictures. Scott and I have known Caroline and her family for many years because they are a part of our special church family we have at the Second Presbyterian Church. We have known Ben as well for many years because he and Caroline were part of PL Dunbar's Marching Band and we have had the honor of photographing their marching band for over ten years. So, you can imagine how excited we were to learn that they were getting married.

We had a beautiful Kentucky day for this wonderful occasion.

I felt that special "something" that you feel when two people that are so in love and are getting married. I could feel the love from their parents as well as their family and friends. A truly special day. We began photographing this couple at the Carrick House and then made our way over to Gratz Park.
