Finally, a few pictures from our Europe/Eastern Mediterranean Cruise vacation that we took in August. I know, so many of you have been asking about our 20th wedding anniversary trip and finally here are a few pictures. I only had a few thousand to sort through (not like that’s a lot or anything) to pick out some of my fav’s. I hope you like them too.
I’ve posted these pictures completely in a random order. I feel lucky just to get them up for all to see. You’ll recognize most of the places.

It’s difficult to photograph Scott without a camera in his hands. This is Scott in action when he can take pictures for his own pleasure.

As I see it, yet another awesome adventure with my awesome husband. I often tell him “your the best husband I’ve every had”. We always have a great time together.

Yes, that’s me with my first “big girl” camera. Scott insisted on buying me my first SLR camera. Not a professional camera by all means but pretty nice one for a beginner. It’s a Nikon D7000.

As you can imagine if there is a horse in the vicinity I would find it. I gave him some Kentucky horse treats. We never leave home without a few peppermints. The horse gladly took the peppermints from my hand but wasn’t so sure about it after he ate it.
The last weekend in April is the Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event that is attend by thousands from around the world. Scott and I make our annual trek to the Kentucky Horse Park located right here in Lexington for one of the finest equestrian events. My favorite event is the Cross-Country event.

This rider seemed relieved that he made the jump.

This was a terrible mishap that happened in front of us. The rider’s mount caught it’s hoof on the jump and caused a fall. Both horse and rider were fine but this did disqualify them from the rest of the event.

This is my favorite picture. This was a very difficult jump and this rider and horse were amazing.

I caught Scott taking pictures of me instead of the event.

Going through all of the photographs from the weekend has me already looking forward to next year’s event. I hope to see you there. Valorie

Spring means horse racing here in Kentucky and there’s not much better than being at Keenelands’ Spring Meet. We go every spring with our bff’s. This is a time when we put our horse racing knowledge to the test and no matter if we are winning or losing our wagers we are having a blast.

Here we are with our friends Dee and Tom.

Tom was the big winner. None of us came close to Tom’s big win.

Now our thoughts are already on the first Saturday in May. Kentuckians across the state will be celebrating the
Kentucky Derby. Whether you are at the Derby or attending a Derby party all eyes are on the most exciting two minutes in horse racing. Of course, I love seeing all the ladies in their spring dresses and you can’t forget those beautiful hats. It is all apart of our horse racing culture. See you at the races, Valorie
